walker1

Description

WALKER Sequence (provided by SRI)

The Walker images are displaced in time by a small amount, as the figure moves to the right. The second pair was supposed to be a motion sequence, but ended up being just normal stereo.

Principal Scene Features - The scene is much like the Stanford sequence, however in the right foreground is a pedestrian walking right and one farther back to her right. An interesting aspect is that the trees have foliage that reaches quite far forward and is visible at the top of the imagery.

WALKER1 (WALKER1-1 [634 238] WALKER1-2 [634 238])

Image Registration - The right-eye image is about a pixel below the left.

Photometry - The right eye is approximately 11% brighter than the left.

Download

Currently, only .png format is supported. In the future, you will be able to download images in other formats as well.

Pressing the "Download" button will send a .tar file to your machine. The .tar file is not compressed because the images already are. You will need tar to decompress the archive. Any additional information (such as ground truth) will be included in the archive.

Note - the resulting file will be called 'maketar.pl'. Just rename it when you download it and extract it.

Finally, it can take a bit of time to tar up everything for download. Don't quit because it doesn't immediately return.

This .tar file will be 212 K large.
